This privacy policy explains when and why we collect information about you, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
We, FrontCore AS, act as ‘’controller’’ of the personal data you provide through our website www.frontcore.no and www.kursguiden.no and sub-pages.
You may navigate on our webpage without providing your personal data. However, if you wish to receive information pertaining to us, or book an event, and/or receive information from the organizers of events registered on our webpage, we will need your personal information. An event can be among others; a course, a seminar, a conference, a breakfast meeting, or a class.
Processing of personal data
It is completely voluntary to provide your personal information when browsing our sites whether you sign up for newsletters, or for our blog, download content from our webpage, book an event or enquire for information regarding an event, or send a request to FrontCore. The legal basis for processing your personal data is consent.
Spinner Labs AS is a data processor for FrontCore in the capacity of developing our websites and software solutions. Terki AS is a data processor for FrontCore through hosting www.kursguiden.no . Information collected on www.kursguiden.no and through our services is stored on servers hosted by Terki.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to our newsletter, sign up for our blog, download content from our webpage, respond to a survey, fill out a booking form, or fill out request more info form. The legal basis for the processing is consent. You may at any time withdraw your consent by contacting us via phone or e-mail. You will find our contact details under ‘’contacting us’’. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on the consent before its withdrawal. Any data we request that is not required will be specified as voluntary or optional.
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, phone number, e-mail address, mailing address, employer, profession/work position, birthdate, previous qualifications, gender, or other information the organizer of the event you book need to process your booking, or FrontCore need to process your request. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
Like most websites, we use cookies to enhance your experience, gather general visitor information, and track visits to our website. Please refer to the ‘do we use cookies?’ section below for information about cookies and how we use them.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience
(your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs) - To improve our website (we process information about you when you send us e-mails directly. We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
- To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)
- To send periodic emails, if you agree to receive such information
- To send newsletters, if you have given your consent to receive that from us. FrontCore uses Mailchimp for sending out newsletters.
- To distribute your information to our trusted third parties (Your personal information will be processed in order to make sure the organizer get the information about your booking, can process your booking, and send you get all information necessary to join the event you booked, or to send you information about our trusted third parties’ event offers from which you have requested such information, or send you information you have requested).
The email address you provide for order processing may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, booking or information request, in addition to occasional company news, event updates, blog updates, promotions, related product or service information etc, if you opt-in to receive such information.
If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, promotions, etc.
You may opt-out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our emails. You may also unsubscribe via phone or e-mail. You will find our contact details under ‘’contacting us’’.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you submit a request or enter, submit, or access your personal information.
These security measures include: password protected directories and databases to safeguard your information or SSL (Secure Sockets Layered) technology to ensure that your information is fully encrypted and sent across the Internet securely. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. All our employees sign a confidentiality clause when they commence their employment with FrontCore.
After a transaction, your private information about credit cards or debit will not be stored on our servers.
How long do we keep your information?
Personal data will not be stored longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed. Please note that personal data may be stored for longer periods if required by applicable law or necessary to resolve disputes or to enforce our agreements.
Information that we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
Site statistics
FrontCore collect information about visitors to our websites. The purpose of this is to gather statistics we use in aggregate form to help us understand how our sites are being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our sites for you. The statistics provide us insight into for example; how many who visit different pages, how long they stay on each page, what sites our visitors came from, and what browsers they use.
We use Google Analytics to analyze the traffic statistics. This information is available only to our data processor Spinner Labs, in addition to key employees in FrontCore.
Do we use cookies?
Yes. We use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and to personalize your experience. You will be asked to consent to the use of cookies when you enter our website by clicking the ‘’I agree’’ button. You may withdraw your consent at any time by altering your browser settings. You may continue to use our service without accepting cookies, but please note that this may affect the functionality of our website negatively. Storing data on website visits and processing this data is not allowed unless the user has been informed about the use of cookies and has given consent to the processing. The user has the right to be informed and to give consent to what information will be processed, the purpose of the processing and who will be the data processor.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that a site or its service provider place on your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies primarily to enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our sites. Some of the data will also be used for analytical purposes in Google Analytics.
How do you deactivate cookies?
If you would like to avoid cookies you can delete these in your browsers settings. You may choose to delete cookies from any or all websites. Should you choose to do so, we cannot guarantee all functionality on our websites will work.
Search
We collect information regarding searches on www.kursguiden.no in the search engine Elastic. The purpose of collecting this information is to improve the website. User patterns are stored in a separate database in order to improve the userfriendliness of the website.
Newsletters
FrontCore use Mailchimp to administrate mailinglists and to send out newsletters. We collect name and e-mailadresses to ensure we send out the newsletters to the correct subscriber. Mailchimp track statistics on who opens the newsletter, who clicks on any link in the newsletter, how many unsubscribe and how many e-mails who bounce.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We work closely with our trusted third parties, i.e. the organizers of events listed at our webpages, and user of our course management solution to provide you with correct and updated information about events they organize. When you book an event, or request information from one of our trusted third parties, the relevant organizer will receive your name and e-mail address and any other information they might request like telephone number, address, birthdate and use your personal data to process your booking or provide you with any other information that you have requested.
The information may also be used to send you additional newsletters and e-mails, provided you have opted in to receive such information.
Some of our organizers also subscribe to our course management solution. In these cases we might also transfer personal data to third parties who are subcontractors in our services or who are integrated with our software through API (Application Programming Interface). API integration means we feed data to the third parties software solution.
- Payment using cards: If you pay your booking with a credit card or debit card, information necessary to process your payment will be transferred to our partners who provide the payment solution
- SMS services: If the organizer use our SMS module, the information will be transferred to our partner for SMS services when sending you an SMS.
- Invoicing: If you book an event from an organizer who feed the order from our solution to their invoicing solution/finance system, then the order data necessary to create the invoice will be transferred to their provider of the invoicing system.
- Competence certificate: If you book training that produce a competence certificate upon completion and the course provider use our competence certificate module, the information required to produce the certificate might be transferred to the registry issuing the certificate.
- E-mail: if you book an event who use our Message center, then any e-mails you receive will be sent through our provider of e-mail infrastructure services.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to other third parties your personally identifiable information. However, we may release your information when we believe release is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. Furthermore, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
E-mail and phone
FrontCore use e-mail and telephone in our daily operations. Relevant information from conversations and email correspondence will be logged and stored in our CRM system. Our employees use e-mail in our dialog with customers and others. Each employee is individually responsible to delete e-mails that is no longer relevant to store. E-mails that is deemed important to provide good service to our contacts or to improve our services will be logged in our CRM system for later reference.
We do not send out or store any e-mails with sensitive information. Any e-mails with sensitive information will not be forwarded, logged in the CRM or stored. Emails with sensitive information will be deleted.
Telephone conversations (numbers dialing in and numbers dialled to, call time) will be logged in our telephone central. This is necessary in order to operate and maintain the telephone system, as well as providing aggregate statistics. Employees might make notes from conversations and log them in the CRM systems for later reference, in order to provide better services to our contacts, as well as improving our services. No other systematic registration of incoming calls is made in order to identify the person dialing in.
Will we transfer your information outside of Europe?
As a part of the services offered to you through our websites, the information you provide to us may be transferred outside the European Union (‘’EU’’) if any of our sub suppliers have their servers located outside Europe. All sub suppliers to FrontCore must comply with GDPR.
If we transfer your information outside of the EU/EEA, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected in accordance with GDPR.
What are your rights?
You may at any time request access to the information we process about you. You may also request to have the information corrected or deleted. You may also have your personal data transferred upon request. Furthermore, you may request restriction of processing of personal data or object to the processing in accordance with relevant legislation. Our contact info is stated under ‘’Contacting Us’’. In case of a data breach in our systems, you have the right to be notified about this.
If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are not processing your personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation, you may file a complaint to the supervisory authority.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
